during と while

during＋名詞
while＋主語＋動詞Part5では非常によく見かけます。
another・other・others・the other
出題頻出：★★★★☆
（誤）：I need other pen.

TOEICでは次の違いがよく問われます。
- another + 単数名詞
- other + 複数名詞
- others = other + 名詞（名詞を含むので後ろに名詞は不要）
- the other = 残りの一方
これだけ覚えるだけでも正答率がかなり上がります。
fewer と less
出題頻出：★★★★☆
（誤）：less employees
（正）：fewer employees
☞ ポイント
数えられる名詞 → fewer
数えられない名詞 → less
remember と remind
出題頻出：★★★☆☆
（誤）：Please remember me the meeting.
（正）：Please remind me about the meeting.
☞ ポイント
- remember＝自分が覚えている
- remind＝誰かに思い出させる
この違いは、TOEICの語彙問題でよく出題されます。
say・tell・speak・talk
出題頻出：★★★★★
（誤）：He said me the news.
（正）：He told me the news.
☞ ポイント
- say：言う（言った内容を伝える。say + 内容）
- tel：伝える（人に伝える）
- speak：話す・話せる（言語・能力・フォーマル）
- talk：会話する・話し合う
※ tell の後ろには「人」が続きます（tell + 人 + 内容）。一方、say の後ろには通常「人」は直接続けられません。
whether と if
出題頻出：★★★★☆
（誤）：I don’t know if or not…
（正）：I don’t know whether or not…
☞ ポイント
whether A or B ／whether or not の２つをしっかり覚えておきましょう。
assure・ensure・insure
出題頻出：★★★★★
（誤）： Please insure that everyone arrives on time.
（正）：Please ensure that everyone arrives on time.
☞ ポイント
- assure：人を安心させる
- ensure：確実にする・保証する
- insure：保険をかける
「確実に～する」は ensure を使います。
job と work

（正）：I have a lot of work today.
